Forever Friends!

Once again it was time Kira and I tried to get together with my friends from High-school and catch up on old times. As time goes by and life changes, I know that they will still be my friends. They are some of the most beautiful, strong, patient, couragous, and loving women I have come to know. As we have moved on with our lives, having homes and raising our children my respect for them grows. Now it just makes my heart so glad to have our children creating friendships as well!

Kira and I, and Jen, Tom, Max, Alyse, and Sara all arrived at the park at about the same time. It took Kira no time at all to make friends with Alyse and before I knew it, they were trotting across the park to the playground, hand in hand. Alyse is braver than Kira, so Kira mainly just followed Alyse around.
After Wendy, Makenna, LeeAnne, Carlos, and Lucas arrived we had a late lunch or early dinner, not sure which. What I thought was great, was that we were all using the other children as examples for our own to eat their food, when in reality I don't think any of them was actually eating anything, with the exception of Lucas who was happily chowing down on his piece of chicken.
The little posers, they happily sat there and let me take this picture.
Playing, Hide and Seek. They were super tricky.

Finally we were able to herd our kids to the sand, where the adults (us) could sit and talk.
Gotta love the sand!Jen and Sara, our newest addition to the group! Can't wait for Wendy's new family member!

Zoorasic Park!

Once again, Bubba was sweet enough to get us into the Hogle Zoo for free. All we need now is a cousin at Lagoon! any volunteers? Maybe I will suggest it to Cass.

They were doing a promotion where they had all these animatronic dinosaurs all over the park! Kira thought they were scary so we mainly stayed away, but mom had to get at least one picture.
We were at the Park for most of the day! We got there at 10 am and didn't leave until 2 pm. Kira was such a good girl. She got to see so many animals...
The Monkeys...The Turtles, and Kangaroos...
The Giraffes...
An Armadillo...
The Lemurs...

And the Baby Elephant, Zuri.
But we couldn't find any Heehees (Horses) We looked and looked but couldn't find the Zebras anywhere, finally we talked to Kevin about it and he told us that unfortunately the Zebras had died and were now in Heaven. So no Heehees. Good thing we found these ones we could ride and the one on the Carousel! My little Gorilla...
We also enjoyed all the other things your able to do at the Zoo!

Like the...

Train!
We got to ride it twice! Once when we got there and once later on in the day!

Ca
rousel!
Again we got to go twice, Kira road the Kangaroo first, then the Zebra! I am sure Kira would have ridden it all day, but I was getting motion sick.

Playground!
she didn't like the gopher hills much, but the log was a blast!

Thanks again Uncle Bubba for a Great Day!

Bear Lake!

Aja and Sandra were able to get their condo in Bear Lake for a week. They invited Kira, My mom and I to come up and enjoy the sun and beach with them. So Thursday we decided to go up and enjoy the change of scene.

Kira was excited to see both Sam and Aiden. She wasn't used to their antics, but quickly joined in. When we finally were able to get all three kids ready, We headed down to the beach.
Unfortunately, since the water is so high it makes the beach kind of yucky from all the sea weed, but we found a good spot. dAja and I decided to dig in the sand and found it ironic that we seemed to be having more fun at the beach than our children were. Go Us!! Our little hole turned into a mini pool after we got done, so our kids could play in it.
What a great Idea!
or well at least Kira seemed to enjoy it a lot!
Learning to share was a difficult thing for all three children but they seemed to manage.Thank you Sandra and Aja for a great day!
We sure had a blast!

Generation to Generation!

My Grandmother, Mama Peggy, purchased this table and chairs set for my cousin Anabell. When she grew out of it she passed it to Mara, Now Mara is too big for it so it has been given to Kira. She loves her table and chairs and will now be a permanent fixture in my living room. She now wants to eat her breakfast there as well as read, play with any of her toys and especially to sit while she watches her favorite morning cartoons.

Thank you to everyone for Kira's new favorite toy!
Love you Mama Peggy!

Party for the Fourth!

This year for the fourth we went down to Salt Lake to visit the family. We had dinner at Franz, Carlyn, and Mara's house. We were able to see Tio Bob, Tia Aida, Karina and Scott, whom came to visit for the day!
As usual Kira was very popular with her cousins. Mara and Bell were wonderful in playing with Kira the whole time. They dressed her up in fun little outfits and made sure she was having a good time.
Thank you girls for your help!
It was a very fun and busy day for all of us!
