Makenna and Kira!

I had my 10 year High School reunion this last month!  It is crazy to think I am that old. :) Although it was supposed to be the adults who reconnected, Kira and Makenna didn't lose out on the opportunity to play either. They played in the sandbox and were overall such good girls the whole time (would have been better had the sprinklers not come on. Grrr!). I just love these pictures because they look inseparable and so sweet!

So glad everyone had a great time at the reunion!

"BFCF"

 or "Best Friend Cousins Forever"!

It was amazing! Kira and Kendal hadn't seen eachother in several months and it was if they had never parted. They were so cute together. We traveled to Colorado for my cousin's wedding, but it was far more entertaining to watch Kira and Kendal play!

They held hands everywhere and I am pretty sure Kira would have been happy to be adopted into Kendal's family.

Such cute girls!

Swim Lessons!

Kira has a Gummy who would do just about anything for her, including swim lessons. I have to work in the morning so my mom takes Kira to swimming every morning. It has been a journey.
Session 1
Kira at first was not going to have anything to do with the water. She was attatched to her Gummy's Head (as that was one of the few places that wasn't in the water). I faithfully took her every morning for two weeks, so she could timidly look at the water and decide if today was the day she was going to like it.

By the end of the first session she was ok with the shallow end but still not thrilled about the deep. We could get her to lay on her tummy and kick.
Session 2
Kira was a whole new child by session 2. She would do all things she needed to do. Like kick and do monster arms, blow bubbles, and bunny hops. It is amazing to see how confident she is getting. She is always telling me "I do it" or "My turn".

Private Lessons Session 3
Water Babies Poster Child!

Kira has gone passed all expectations! She now will voluntarily put her face in the water and dive down and get a toy in the water. She played dunking with her Tia. Each would take a turn and then Kira would take a few more. She can lay on her back and kick her legs, do her monster arms and will bunny hop in the deep water.

I am so proud of you, Baby!

Her last day was a blast and she is just getting so big! Thanks Teacher Shelly you truly are the greatest!

Freedom Fire

Kira has not liked fireworks in the past, but we thought hey it's a new year lets see what happens. We decided to go to the stadium and enjoy the fireworks from the best seats in Logan.

Also Kansas was playing and Cassidy loves them. The concert was great even if I only knew a couple of their songs.
I also bought Kira several glow in the dark bracelet and necklace sets. She thought they were really fun, and kept sharing them with everyone.
The fireworks were amazing! One of the best shows yet. We (My mom, sister and I)were really happy with the show! Kira however was not... she hid herself in my chest and only peeked out every once in a while.

Hyrum's Star Spangled Week
The next day we got up early and drove out to Hyrum to enjoy their 4th of July festivities. We enjoyed walking around the booths and Kira made some new friends. We tried the parade, but there were so many people and there were a lot of older children fighting for the candy that Kira thought it was dumb pretty quick. So we left early and bought her an Icee instead.

Kira's silly Tia cut felt for her to dress up in! She wondered around like this for quite a while. We all laughed really hard!
