Historic Event!

At the time we were getting Kira's room done we also worked on the garage. While my Dad was inside taking apart the crib and putting Kira's toddler bed together, My Mom, Cass, and I were organizing the garage. We took everything out then put it all back in organized by sections. I haven't been able to see the floor in my garage in years.
SO FINALLY AFTER LIKE 4 YEARS I WAS ABLE TO PARK MY CAR IN THE GARAGE!
WAHOOOOOOOO!
I can't say thank you enough to my mom and Cass for such a wonderful Easter Present. It was by far the best gift they could have given me. THANK YOU!

Big Girl Bed!

Kira has now graduated to a toddler bed! As an Easter Surprise I ordered her bed a couple weeks ago and we put it up this weekend. I also got some new storage for all her toys. She now has a whole new look to her room!

So out with the nursery!

My Dad, Mom and Sister all came over to help with the transformation. It was a good time and I appreciate all that they did to help! Also besides a new bed, I bought Kira a new chair, so she can watch her movies without being right up against the TV.
Kira's new Big Girl Room!

When she got home, I could hardly contain my excitement for her to see her new room! She immediately went and layed on her bed. I think we have a hit!She also got a big kick out her chair. So far the only problem with a new "lower" bed is that Kira now comes and wakes me up at 7 to put in a movie so she can sit in her new chair. Oh well I guess you can't have everything.

Willow Park Zoo

This last Friday, I took the day off because my mom had it off for her spring break. We decided to go to the zoo. Kira loves looking at the ducks (Quack-Quacks). She also liked to chase to the peacocks around. We were able to see one with his feathers up. They are so beautiful. After we looked at all the animals we played in the park for a little while.
I thought the iridescent feathers were really pretty and unique.

Picture really doesn't do them justice.Glad at least at this zoo we could get a smile out of her.
Time to go home!

Early Easter!

This year for Easter we celebrated a week early because Kira wasn't going to be with us. Cassidy and I dyed Easter Eggs, then Kira came up and helped put stickers on them, and Kira liked watching the shrink wrap shrink on the eggs. They turned out very cute.

All our pretty Eggs.
Cassidy and IThe next morning I hid eggs around my house and had an Easter Basket waiting for Kira. She had a great time finding the eggs. Especially because I put one jelly bean in each one. She was really funny because she had to eat the jelly bean inside the first egg before she would go and find another one.
Kira checking all the stuff the Easter Bunny left her.
We then got dressed and headed to Grandma and Papa's, Where the Easter Bunny left her another set of presents. (Hmm! Go Figure!)
She got a lot of fun toys for playing in the sand, a new swing via Easter Bunny Papa and a new tricycle which has stroller handles via Easter Bunny Grandma. We had to wait a few days to put the new tricycle together but she loved it as soon as it was up.

The Easter Bunny also left some gifts for me. One being a new book called "Along Came You." If you haven't had the opportunity to read it, it is a must read. Kira and I sat and read it 5 times that morning. It's her new favorite book also. Kira was feeling very helpful that day. She helped Papa cook dinner and pick up.
When we were finally able to get Kira in her Easter Dress, we of course had to take pictures. She had some... unique poses.
Finally the end of a very long, but fun day. She slept like a rock once we got home. HAPPY EASTER!

Rain Rain Go Away!

So, we were finally able to get to Baby Animal Days! The rain finally stopped enough that we were able to go! Wendy, Makenna, Wendy's Friend Cindy and her little girl came with Kira and I. Kira and I were running a little late, so we met them at the calfs. What is it about baby animals that are so cute. Cause cows are ugly, but calfs are adorable! I am so glad that Makenna was there she was the brave one this time and Kira followed her around.

Cute little lambs!

Kira was getting a little braver by the time we got to the goats. She actually wanted to touch it. The goat kept moving so Kira followed it around the pen trying to touch it.
The goat wandered off for our picture.

Makenna got really brave and was holding the chick, unfortunately it was a wiggly little thing and Makenna tried to catch it but grabbed onto its feet and was holding upside down for a bit. But no damage done and she was so proud!

Ofcourse we had to ride the "Choo-Choo," from the moment we got there, she kept pointing at it saying "On, on, Peese!"
