Family, Love and a PARTY!

I look at Kira and realize what a lucky person I am. She is beautiful, happy, loving, sweet, spunky, and MY little girl! She makes each moment better just because she is there, I couldn't live without her. And perhaps without realizing it, I am always looking to when she can do something in the future... crawl, walk, talk, go to dance, first date, get married...
Recently, My Aunt has discovered that she is very sick. Every moment has been sharpened and is ever so much more precious for her. I watch her and wish that when I meet my time, I am able to do so with as much grace and love as she has. Her very beautiful daughter celebrated her 15th birthday last night! It was such a great party! We ate, sang and had cake, enjoyed the company of family and friends, and danced, danced, and danced some more all evening long.

Singing Happy Birthday and Cutting the Cake!

Family Sitting and Resting, Enjoying the evening!
Kira was very tired and the music was loud so she enjoyed being on the sidelines more than dancing, but she was so good the whole night. She looked beautiful in her new dress and curly hair! She was so lovey and was a joy to have at the party! All the girls loved to dance with her (or well try). My sister and Dad were tearing up the dance floor though.

Father/Daughter Dance to start of the Dancing! They were beautiful together!

And they Danced...Danced...
and DANCED!

Kira found a comfy shoulder and someone to tickle her back! She could have stayed there all night!
Thank you to my Aunt, Uncle and Cousin for such a wonderful evening and for teaching me that each moment, no matter what it is, is precious and that it needs my full and undivided attention.

I love you Bell, Francis and JG so much!

They're Here!

My Dad's family has come from Bolivia for a couple weeks to visit! It will be the first time they have seen Kira. Last time I saw them was in Bolivia, when I was very pregnant! So it was great to go down to Salt Lake and see them. We went to a park and had lunch and just talked. Simple but fun none the less!

Katie, Kiara, Bell, and Mara were all really great about entertaining Kira! They took her off the park and out on the grass! She had so much fun with them!

Dancing Queen

Today is the LaShars Open House and while I know it will be at least one more year until Kira can start dance... I am still so excited for her start. So I have this adorable little dance outfit for her wear today at the Open House!
She will definitely be the cutest one on stage... probably not doing a thing. :)

Good Bye Old Friend!

I have said Good Bye to my car... which has been great, but is now showing its age.

And Say Hello to my New Friend!!!

I got the Acura MDX Touring Nav Res...
Which basically means for those of us that don't speak car.
Touring: Has the rails on top carrying heavy loads and side steps to get in and out easier
Nav : Has the GPS Navigation System and Back-up Cameras
Res: Includes a DVD Player

This has been the first car that I got to shop for and pick out myself... while my other vehicles were nice they just sorta came home and I didn't have much input in their selection.
Kira and I love it, She happily plays around in it. Think its her own personnel Jungle Gym! It's amazing how quickly I have adjusted to all its great new features that my old car just didn't have.
Like all the extra room, we were able to pack everything we needed for the farmers market in my vehicle alone... its been amazing.
We are so excited to see where our new vehicle take us!

Lightning Hugs!

First off...
I love the Rain!

Its probably something I got from my mom, cause she always liked the rain...

So Sunday we sit down to family dinner out on the patio, as we start to eat the weather changes dramatically, and gets worse and worse until finally we can see the lightning and hear the thunder right over us. Kira had to sit in my lap but thought it was great.
When we went home we got into our warm pajamas and sat outside watching the lightning and rain. She snuggled with me the whole time and every time the lightning flashed she would get excited. What a great evening!

Going to the Pool!

Making to the pool after swim lessons has been difficult... I get so busy in the afternoons that getting to the pool with enough time to play has been hard. But last friday Kira and I finally made it. She was tenative at first but there were some other kids who helped her be brave, by the end she was on her tummy in the water by herself.
Too Cute!
Practicing Jumping in... She counts with me 1, 2, twoooooo! We are still working on three.

Playing in the Shallow Section!
Look at my brave little girl! At the very end she was sooo brave she wanted to go down the slide. So Kira and I went down the curvy slide together. It was super slick at the bottom and I slipped and dunked us both, she was super surprised by it but wanted to go again!

Bye Bye, Tree!

We lost an old friend this week! Unfortunately due to tree rot and leaning way to far over the neighbors house, we had to cut down the big Ash tree in the front. It was very cool to watch, but unfortunately i had to go to work. So I have a few before and afters.
Hooking the crane to the tree! They cut the whole top section off and moved it over to the truck where it got chopped into mulch!
Now its very bright and sunny, I think my flowers are in shock to have so much sun!
What's left of my tree... Well for now the guy is coming back to ground down the stump too.
