D-Day

Well today is my oficial due date and no baby. I am not surprised, I planned on being late ever since I found out I am pregnant. I am still bummed about it though. I would much rather have her out than in and I am sure she feels the same way. I suppose I am not desperate enough to have out yet, cause I have not resorted to all the weird things people have been telling me to do. I did not know there were so many theories on how to induce labor, but apparently there are. For those that don't know... There are pressure points on hand and ankle that you should press (good excuse for a foot and hand massage), bumpy car rides (I would get car sick), jumping on a trampoline(ouch), Walking (Waddling in my Case) and my personal favorite drinking Caster Oil (YUCK).There are a few that seem reasonable but whoever came up with the Caster Oil one was obviously a little to desperate as far as I'm concerned. My doctor said that if I don't have Kira by Thursday they will consider inducing me on that Friday or the following Tuesday. If that happens then I might as well wait until then so that she can be born on 9-9-09 which if it worked out would be a cool birthday, but I am not holding my breath.

Belly Pictures

So about a week ago Andy and I had our pictures taken. Mostly it was my belly that we took pictures of. It was a lot of fun, but a little awkward showing off my belly. Matt did a great job though and there were a lot of pictures that I really thought were fun. I am posting my favorites although I have around 60 pictures. I am hoping that after the baby is born, to recreate some of the pictures to have a before and after pics. Thanks again to Matt.

Happy Anniversary

Well yesterday was Andy's and Mine four year anniversary. It seems crazy that it has been four years already, but really great at the same time. He sent me flowers at work and is making me a CD for the delivery room. I made cookies for the 1st time since we have been married I think, and bought him a gift card to Out of Control RC. We had dinner at home, but it was one of our favorite meals, then went and got Snow Cones. We spent the rest of the evening hanging out, it was casual but

Clothes Horse

Andy feels everyone is teaching our child some bad habits already. Having too many clothes I think is top on his list of bad habits. Its right up there with leaving hair in the shower drain. We have a couple weeks left just imagine how many clothes she will have by the time she is born at least if my mother has anything to say about it.

Misha and Baby Update

So Andy and I went to the hospital on Wednesday morning to have an ultrasound done, of my upper abdomen. The radiologist poked a prodded for a about an hour and told us nothing about what could be wrong with me. We also did get to have a look at our baby though, and she is doing great. The radiologist zoomed in on her face and she is a chunk. She has some of the chubbiest cheeks I have seen.

This morning Andy and I went to see my doctor and to find out why my stomach has been hurting. And the big news is... that they can't find anything wrong with me. The baby is probably putting pressure on that spot and now it just hurts all the time. I am glad that its not anything serious but, there isn't anything they can do about it either.

I have also been sick lately and now am on a special diet, so that I can keep food down. I am to pretty bland foods and anything that is easy to digest. If this continues the doctor is planning to start me early. As of right now, I am 75% efaced and 1 cm dialated, so the baby isn't coming any time soon.

Baby Showers

Thank you to all who gave and came to my baby showers. They were all such a good time. I have now had my last one and thought it was about time I posted something about them.

My first one was in Bolivia given by my Aunts Ana and Shiela. It was at my Aunt Shiela's house which had a spectacular view, but was still very homey. I hope to someday have a house just like it. We talked and guessed how big my tummy was. Breanna and Anabell guessed the closest. It was on the last day of our trip and just made the whole thing better.
Everyone gathering their toilette paper to guess.
Now how big am I really?

All the Family.

The Second Shower was held on August 1st by my friends April and Aja. Oh and their mother's Marylou and Sandra ofcourse. We had it in Sandra's front yard. We did a relay and I learned what Kira will look like, oh and is she really "CUTE." I was given all kinds of things, but a lot of clothing. Little girl stuff is just so fun to buy.
The start of the Relay. Hurry find those safety pins...
Wendy and I enjoying our baby food. Mine was Carrot, Yum.
Apparently Babies have to work really hard for their food. Cause these ladies certainly did.
Is there really anything cuter than baby socks.

The Third and final shower was given by Julie and Stacey. It was at Stacey's Mom's House Carol, who had just had a wedding in her backyard which looked beautiful. It was nice cause it gave me the opportunity to sit and talk to a whole bunch of friends I had not seen in a long time. I got a variety of things from a pack n' play from Jenny and LullaVe to a Boppy from Stacey's Mom and Sisters. Not to mention a lot of clothing.
Stacey and Bentley (Alexis' little Girl)
Megan, Emily, Me and Kami friends from Dance.
Jenny and LullaVe with the Pack n' Play, I am so excited to use it.

Kira's Nursury

Well here is my nursery. As some may know I am a bit of a freak when it comes to my house being decorated and cute, but what can I say "I'm and Interior Designer and it comes with the territory. The ladies at work were such help. They helped me make all the bedding and curtains. Andy and Maria painted for me and my dad remade the changing table so it would fit right. Designing it has been such a blast and I love it, hope you do too.

Nine Months and Counting

Yeah, I have finally reached Nine months I have only a few weeks left, until I'm not carrying a basketball arround with me. Ofcourse Andy and I went to a class on friday and Saturday and I was the first one due, but by far the smallest there, some I felt really bad for and they had a month and half left.

Well the last couple of days have been rather exciting; I guess :( I am having a lot of upper abdominal pain. We went to the hospital on Saturday and learned that it wasn't labor (I knew that) but that it could be a whole variety of things. Such as a Gall Bladder Infection, Strained Muscle, Preclampsia, and so forth... But the baby is doing just fine, she is still moving great and seems to be uneffected by what is happening to me. Well today is now tuesday and all we still know is that it hurts a lot and it could still be all those things plus more. Tomorrow morning I am going to the hospital for an ultrasound of my stomach. Which hopefully should shed some light on what is happening and what we can do about it.

My New Blog

Hey everyone, I guess I am getting into this whole blogging thing. I just set up a facebook account as well. I wanted to do this to be able to share pictures of Andy and I's new baby girl. Whom we are expecting in a couple of weeks. I have also enjoyed looking at other peoples blogs, not that to many exciting things happen to Andy and I, but I am a picture hound so pics of Kira will be easier for me to keep up with. Hope everyone enjoys.
