Best Ever Halloween

I love Halloween, It's my favorite Holiday. Last Halloween was not the greatest, but this year made up for it. I found Kira's Halloween costume early. I was out shopping and found the lamb costume and HAD to get it. That evening when Kira and I got home I put her in it. She was giving me the look of "Mom, Do we have to this NOW?" but I still got it on her.
We also got these great pumpkin accessories. My mom, Cassidy and I put them into the Pumpkins, and Kira took them back out and loved it.
On the Saturday Before Halloween, Kira and I went to the Mall to trick or treat. It was Crazy, there were so many people. We got there right at 11:00 which was perfect timing. Kira didn't really understand the whole idea, but she would walk up to people and hold up her Candy basket and look at the treat once they put it in her bag. I would try to get her to say thank you which she did half the time.

Later on that Day I had a Halloween Party at my House. A whole group of friends came, it was a great time. We colored Pictures and Pumpkins. Made a cute foam Pumpkin Picture Frame. Had treats and it was just perfect.

I do have this funny story though. I made eyeballs out of donut holes and turned the chip dip green and I also made dirt cups with worms in them, which is just chocolate pudding and crumbled Oreos with gummy worms. Kenny, Jen and Tom's eldest son took one look at them and decided he wasn't going to eat it. He asked me if it was real and I explained that no it was just chocolate, he didn't believe me. So I took a bite to show him that it was safe and he still wasn't so sure it wasn't real dirt. It took both Jen and I about five more minutes to convince him it was good. Next year I won't make it quite so believable.
Everyone was busy with their projects.

After the Party, I tried to go to the Trunk or Treat. I was about 15 minutes late and that was way too late, by the time I got there it was over and people were driving away. Too bad, but Kira had plenty of Candy anyways.

So we made the rounds, to Grandparents house.

One Year Pictures

Kira had her One Year pictures taken shortly after her Birthday. Thanks to Ashley and David Hawkes with Jada Love Photography she has some adorable pictures. I did want a few pics of Kira and I together, but I got more than I bargained for. Kira was not having a good night and she wasn't going to be happy if I was too far away (Basically not touching or holding her). Still I love them, Thanks Ashley!

BFF's For Life, No matter what!

Ever since I have had Kira, we have seen or spent time with Wendy and Makenna every week. They have been great friends for Kira and I. Thank you!

We have gone walking, done crafts, gone to the park or playgrounds, or even gone to the mall to walk or play on the indoor play set. Lately Kira and Makenna have really become engaged in each other and it has been so much fun. I can only hope that they become as good a friends as Wendy and I are.

Not My Baby Anymore!

Thank Goodness Kira's Hair has decided to start growing. Unfortunately she was starting to look like a little rag muffin. She had her first Haircut! Thanks to her Aunt Angela who did the honors of trimming Kira's hair. She did not like it at all, but if she could see Kade running around she sat peacably enough. I was amazed at how much older she looked after she got it cut, she quit looking like my baby and now is my little girl.

It was so cute, Kade was trying to put Kira's shoe on and walk around.
Not a baby anymore!

Happy Birthday Kira

So my little girl is now a year old. The best birthday she won't remember.

The Saturday before I had a party for her at Willow Park, but of course the one day we decide to be outside is the day of the wind storm. So we took refuge on the stage. It was funny as we are all huddled together on the stage. It was perfect though, because they got to play on the playground and that was fun enough for the kids.

Now on the Presents! She got this adorable tutu and necklace from her Grandma Dana, who also gave her the big blocks.
The night of her Birthday we went out to dinner with the family. It was a really great time, and ofcourse we went to El Torro Viejo where they sang and brought out a treat. She really enjoyed her treat. The cute outfit she is wearing was given to her by her Aunt Kim, Thanks so much I love it!
